Classic digital tune from 1987, produced by Bobby 'Digital' Dixon and Lester Sterling. It has been released on several labels and a new version of the tune was featured on the 2007 album "Road Block". I think (correct me if I'm wrong here) that the original label was Kangal, but it's also on Joe Frasier and 220 Marcus Garvey Drive (as shown in the video, couldn't find a picture of the Kangal cut). It's actually on the Heavenless riddim, although it sounds different from the original. This version of the riddim is from Tiger's Lyrics For Your Money.

  • I remember jammin to "It A Ring" by the great Screwdriver back in the 80's -- glad to hear this, Gorgon! Thanks!

  • i blaze to this tune all the time big up Screwdriver :)

  • do you have African Woman by Screwdriver

  • Ganja Style ^^

  • oh lord

  • (no offense to any skinheads who might be reading this — I know there are plenty of rude boy skins, SHARPs, and so on, who love this music too!!)

  • y'all please, it's not that hard... apart from having similar names, this Screwdriver (aka Mr. Dalton Lindo), has NOTHING to do with the awful british neo-nazi rock band called Skrewdriver.

... then again, maybe it's not such a bad thing if people get confused and end up listening to this chill tune instead of angry hateful skinhead music :)
