The British military operation in Iraq has ended after more than 8 years, with the last group of Royal Navy training staff now having pulled out. The UK joined the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, under the pretext of destroying Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. But when WMDs were never found, the war fell out of favour with the British public, even more so with the death of 179 soldiers during the conflict. Most of the UK's military forces withdrew two years ago. Some experts say they failed to make Iraq a safer place - with terror attacks still happening there on a regular basis.

  • The US pulled out of iraq in December 2011 and 209+ have died since, but I am proud of the Iraqi police because they just killed Al Qiada leader Majeed Hassan Ali, also known as Abu Ayman, a local leader of self-styled Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) in the city of Mosul.

  • @DarkosApprentice Nope.

Sorry kid, but you don't have an "infinite amount of knowledge".

As someone else stated above, the USA did not "mainly" fight in Japan.

  • @DarkosApprentice You need to read more factual books rather than watching fictional USA accounts of what happened. The countries that fought against Japan were (Britain,Australia,Nepal,China,New Zealand,India, etc) There were many countries that fought the Japanese. Oh and Britain has won more wars than ANY other country, and very few were lost that is why we had the largest and greatest empire that the world has ever or will ever see. We are the greatest tacticians on Earth.

  • @DarkosApprentice and also, your last point is untrue again... The British Armed Forces entered more wars in the last century without the help of the United States that with them. (Falklands, Suez canal, Northern Ireland, Palestine, Anglo-Aro war, Turkish war, Malaya, Mau Mau uprising, Sierra Leone and Oman). Please do not patronise the British people with your incorrect bull shit. Whereas we only fought 4 wars with the USA, excluding the two world wars (Afganistan, Iraq, Kosovo & Gulf war).

  • @DarkosApprentice *cannot control

  • @DarkosApprentice no we did not.. we won far more than we lost. The British Army prides it's self of being primarily victorious. You control 1/3 of the world and lose more wars than you have won. Please get your facts correct. It is so irritating when ignorant yanks voice their opinion from facts which are 100% untrue.

  • @spotswood4444

Wrong, USA Fought alone mainly in japan and won.

Also, Britain lost more wars than they have won, why is it that whenever britain goes to war they always lose unless they have help from the United States?

  • @DarkosApprentice So out of your list of multiple wars won by the USA, the Cold war involved Britain to help you. Numerous countries were involved in the defeat of Japan, Numerous countries were involved in the defeat of Germany, Mainly the Russians and also the Germans did not help themselves due to bad tactical errors. The USA did help of course but so did lots of nations. So to sum up out of your list there are NO USA victories alone and when you fight alone you lose LOL.

  • @DarkosApprentice So the USA were not alone in the Cold war (not a war), you were not alone in fighting the Japanese (British,Indians,Gurkhas,Australians,New Zealanders,Chinese etc) all played their own contribution to the defeat of Japan. As for the fight against Germany, you were not involved until 1942, the war started in 1939. Britain fought the Germans alone from 1939 until 1942, successfully bombing German targets during this period, and then the Russians did the most work

  • @DarkosApprentice The Cold war which I have previously mentioned was not a war, was a situation between the West and the Soviet block that existed through the 60's, 70's and 80's, the reason that the Soviet block lost the cold war was due to the economic might of the West that they could not match. The two world leaders that can take credit for the Wests victory in the cold war were Ronald Reagan, and Britains Margeret Thatcher (Known as the IRON LADY). You should read more.
