I think the logic with the barrels was the picture on top of the button showed the weight.... each barrels rings were 1/3, 2/3, or 3/3 'full'.... :)

If you hadn't already realised the thing with the barrels is that if you look at the floor pads the barrels on them are full to a certain point and then if you look at the actual barrels you can also see how full they are because part of it is darker than the rest
