(WTNH) -- The mayor of Stamford says it appears the cause of a Christmas Day blaze that killed three children and their grandparents was related to a fireplace in the home.

  • It does seem very suss. On the boyfriends part I mean. Why would you leave smoldering embers on the back porch? Removing them from the fireplace so Santa doesn't get hurt is stupid enough but wouldn't you pour water over them or something? And I read an article saying the smoke alarms may have been turned off by the bf while he was doing renovations. This guy is completely to blame for this fire because of his sheer stupidity alone.
