Mmmm. One must also wonder about a judicial system that would even entertain such a case. I can assure you that in Ireland, no court would have heard it, irrespective of the nationality of the person involved. And there's a 'strain on English courts'? Really?......................w

I sincerely doubt that jokes lead to death camps. First, a joke is just that, a joke. It isn't meant to be factual. People who are swayed into thinking a certain way about another group of people because they heard a joke are too stupiod to live. Economic hardship, a corrupt government, easily cowed masses, and GENUINE intolerance leads to gas chambers.

I could see maybe if your boss made "ethnic" jokes about you every day for a long period of time and the jokes weren't coming from a "busting your balls, jerking your chain" place but from a place tghat meant to be offensive then I could see being offended. One joke, one time, from a source that could be ignored, easily avoided, or told to shut the fuck up is a crazy reason to sue. Actually winning is beyond my capacity to understand.
