Interactive Offender Profiling ::The IOPS project is developing a powerful interactive decision support system to aid police in their investigations. IOPS combines police data with advanced behavioural analysis techniques to help discover crime series, identify possible suspects and determine the areas in which they are likely to be based.
Homicide-Analysis of crime scene material has allowed a facet structure of homicide to be developed, linking different types of homicide to different characteristics of the offender.
Stalking-A classification of stalking behaviour is currently underway in terms of differenting styles of stalking as well as types of offenders involved. Psychological injury is the effect on a woman produced by a person who continually shadows her, observes her public movements, perhaps even photographs her. Creates intense psychological trauma in the victim and calls for strict stalking laws.
Criminal Narratives-Criminal accounts of their own lives are hypothesized to relate directly to their styles of crime. The implications are for the understanding of criminality and the progress of police investigations.
Crime Scene Investigation Report-The forensic psychologist submits his/her report about the accused, other persons testifying as witnesses and a general overview of the crime scene, as a member accompanying the crime squad reaching the scene of crime.Later on he/she may draw a profile of the accused.
