just stumbled on this and memories came flooding back. I was Royal Military Police at the time and I had an all area pass for 'policing' purposes and it was just the best time ever. Having witnessed the wall coming down from the top of the Reichstag building and policing this, it is up there with my all time memories.Shortly after we were sent to the first Gulf war and that changed the atmosphere of hope we all felt, but just for a short time it felt like the world had shifted towards peace.

My blood runs cold, when I think of this part.
A Russian military band at The Wall on the Potzdamer Platz in Summer 1990.
At this moment I thought, the Iron Curtain must be blown away.
One year before, you would have been called silly, maybe a madcap, if you would have predicted this.
