My husband, Caleb Reck, is one of the most amazing men I have ever met. He missed the first 4 months of our son's life, but the night he got off that white bus he dove head first into daddy duty. Caleb wanted nothing more than to be with me during my pregnancy, however that was not possible. I had kidney stones which caused me to go into preterm labor 2 times, and every time he made sure he was on the phone with me. He was in a fire fight and found a satelite phone to check up on me and let me know he loved "us". He was severly injured when a 80 pound IED went off only 8 feet from where he was standing, he was taken by hellicopter to base along with two other marines where he was treated for a severe concussion, blown ear drums, and pieces of metal in his skin. He has daily migraines and 75% hearing loss along with severe pressure in his head, but he NEVER complains. When the Marine Corp told caleb he would be awarded the purple heart for his injuries sustained in OEF in June he asked "isn't there someone who really deserves this other than me"? Caleb loves this amazing country he has sacraficed so much for and has never been afraid of standing up for what he believes in. He's amazing. A hero. And my husband.
I am so lucky to call him mine.
