Here is a video of me running my fathers 1969 Road Runner against a 1970 Dart. These are both race cars and are equiped with race engines. The Dart is running a 416 cid stroker small block mopar...fully ported (by hughes engines), 600" solid cam, 11:1 compression. Has fiber glass front end and doors. 2600Lbs.
The 1969 Runner is running a 493 cid Block Stroker mopar. Fully ported (by KTR Racing engines) Edelbrock heads, .700" Solid Roller cam, 14:1 compression. Has Fiber glass fenders and hood. Doors are steel and the glass wind shield remains. 3200LBS.

(this is the first pass that the Road Runner made with its 493 cid engine... there is more there after tuning).

  • That was great. fine tunning will add up. see you on pinks?

  • @60viking Man, Id love to get on PINKS ALL OUT. I tried a couple times just next to impossible to get on when they open registering. I really wanted to run at Norwalk when they were there but my computer wasn't fast enough. My father and his best friend were partners and built this car...Sadly, His best friend passed away this year... my dad told me that if we can get it on pinks all out, I'm gonna be the guy running it for him.

  • yah that RR was hitting pretty hard

sub ten is some serious THUMP

  • There is more there...The torque converter is wrong...(it stalls at 6000RPM) we're in the process of getting a 5000rpm stall speed made... Should put here in the 9.70's at 140mph. Glad ya like it.

  • nice, both badass cars, i have a dartt myself though, roadrunners are kinda rare haha

  • are you running a dry sump oil system ,does the engine have any issues that would keep this animal off the street

  • I guess there really is no substitute for cubic inches!

  • @warlock451 Good luck, thats a great story, persistence will pay off. I worked at chrysler Engineering and my first day on the job was to run power runs on the Dyno with a 440 6 pack with differant intake maifolds and the new 3 bolt cam gear and the new Toledo stamped rocker arms. I remember thinking ,I get payed to do this. :-)

  • what a fuckin Animal

  • your runner was movin
