2) A political theory advocating state ownership of industry
Q: If America was originally founded as a socialist nation, why did it take over 200 years to implement this "socialism?"

The question wasn't if he was "less Republican" it was that he was less ELECTABLE. At the time he dropped out, he had garnered only 1.6% - and that was only from Republicans. So the question was very apt.
