Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers/Christian Debater (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV, websites: BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) debates Steve McCalip, author & producer of "KingJamesVideoMan," on the subject of WHO did Jesus die for. Bob L. Ross, leading publisher of Charles Haddon Spurgeon (please check official website: PILGRIMPUBLICATIONS.COM), is the moderator. Educational backgrounds of debaters: Wessels- Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, completed extension course taught by Dr. J.I. Packer of Regent College, Vancouver, Canada, studied virtually every book or tape produced by Walter Martin of the Christian Research Institute & Dr. R.C. Sproul of Ligonier Ministries, worked with Pilgrim Publications (C.H. Spurgeon) since 1990, attended Dayspring Fellowship of Austin, Texas (Pastor Jackson Boyett, www.dayspringchapel.org) since 1982. McCalip- Bachelor's degree from Baylor University, 2 Master's Degrees in Education from the University of Houston. Theological background: Wessels- Classical Protestant Reformed Doctine, Affirms the Trinity (Father , Son & Holy Spirit), McCalip- Arminian Doctrine, Denial of the Trinity, Affirms King James Bible only. A popular book out is entitled "History's Greatest Lies;" although this book doesn't mention the following it should have: Darwin's Evolution Theory, Global Warming, Muhammad was a prophet of God, the only true "church" is headed by a Roman Pope, etc. Another "greatest lie" would be to say Jesus died for people He did not indeed die for. There are only 3 possibilities: 1. Christ died to save all men therefore all are saved 2. Christ died to save no one in particular (men then must save themselves) or 3. Christ died to save a certain number (who God then actively saves) from eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. This debate has been going on for centuries & in recent times has had more notoriety because of a book written by Dave Hunt of "The Berean Call" entitled, "What Love Is This?," which makes many of the same emotional Arminian arguments as Steve McCalip in this debate. Multnomah Publishers also produced a book entitled "Debating Calvinism" between Hunt & James R. White of Alpha & Omega Ministries. Ergun Caner of Islam fame has also taken issue with "The Five Points of Calvinism," namely: 1. Total Depravity, 2. Unconditional Election, 3. Limited Atonement, 4. Irresistible Grace, & 5. Perseverance of the Saints. The real question, ""Is God sovereign over man or is man's free will sovereign over God & His purposes?" Who is REALLY in control?

This is just a single episode of a 24 part (10 minute presentation) debate. To see this same 4 hour debate in 1 hour segments as it was originally recorded, copy & paste the following title into the YOUTUBE search box, "DID JESUS DIE FOR EVERYBODY WHO EVER LIVED OR NOT? DEBATE."

Please type "LARRY WESSELS" in the YOUTUBE search box for an array of various subject topic videos (over 350).

  • @Rundvelt It's obvious from your so-called "scientific" meanderings that you have bought into the evolutionary mythology of Charles Darwin & his religious "scientism." Scientism is the sacred cow of evolutionists, atheists, humanists & all the other unbelievers in Biblical truth. Scientism is not true science but begins by repudiating all that cannot be reduced to the physical & studied by means of the scientific method. It's committed to materialism first & this shapes the "science" so-called.

  • @Rundvelt "Faith is equal parts ignorance and gullibility."

Is this why you believe scientific laws are nullified when it comes to your belief?

  • @CBALLEN You're right, the bible doesn't say, however we can figure out the date based on the lineage listed in the bible. This is why many creationists hold to a specific set of dates (say 6000-10000 years ago). Modern science has proven that this is not the case. The only people holding onto it are people who don't want to believe that their sacred text could be wrong. Faith is equal parts ignorance and gullibility.

  • We believe because we were chosen to believe before the Creation.Arminians keep trying to assert that we are saved by Faith through Grace, when the Bible teaches the exact opposite.Grace ,faith and belief are all gifts of God,no natural man can generate faith within himself, they can neither know or understand their need for salvation without God Himself performing a spiritual heart transplant first.

  • @Rundvelt The Bible doesn't pinpoint an actual length of time between creation and now,men have done that.Jesus was real and He did miracles, including but not limited to resurrecting from the dead.Even Jesus' enemies never denied His miracles, not one time, they only attributed His power as coming from the Devil instead of the Holy Spirit, check it out yourself.

  • @Rundvelt Compliments for at least watching a "few minutes" of Dr Girouard on our short clips here on Youtube, but what you have FAILED to do is watch our indepth videos of Dr Girouard on YAHOO VIDEO (put LARRY WESSELS in their homepage search box). The Girourd shows there are an hour or more long. Check out our "Examining the Religion of Atheism: Evolution- True Monkey Business" here on YOUTUBE (via BEREAN BEACON) also.

  • @CAnswersTV I watched several of Dr. Girouard's videos and I find his arguments weak and lacking of any really strong foundation. For example, if you watch his "Darwin religion" videos (top ones when you search for his name), he states that because we found the tomb and have historical evidence that proves Jesus was resurrected. I mean, come on, that's just a silly argument. Even you have to admit that.

  • @Rundvelt I'm surprised you would bring this up here? I have a college degree & one thing I can say looking back at my college days is if you doubt the Bible then how can you believe in it in the first place? When I was in college I was not a Christian & so I didn't believe it. Anyway, please go to our videos with Dr Michael Girouard here on YOUTUBE & YAHOO VIDEO which deal with the very specific items you brought up.
