is it possible to pass a pointer from the main function to a function in a class which is in a different file ?

pff stop making it hard for yourself, just go over it and use it, don't even try to retain the knowledge. After your exposed to it enough the knowledge will be there.

@suggie1337 yes just include the header of that other file using #include "headerFile.h" and return/pass the address of that variable
