This is what makes me so angry about people like Liz, here she is bitching and moaning about the troops, yet she supports a political party that sent 4,000 troops to their doom based on a lie. Even worse is they cut troops benefits, didn't give them the proper weapons to fight these useless wars then screwed them out of medical care when they came home all fucked up. These Republicans kill me with this bullshit, yet liberals are always accused of "not supporting the troops".

I served in Iraq and I agree with Joy. I don't want patronizing expressions of honor. A parade does me no good. You know what does do me some good? Talking about the real cost of this war so that I and my friends never have to go back. And how dare Elisabeth claim to speak for all veterans? She does not speak for me.

I am a veteran. Everything Joy is speaking of is appropriate. You want to honor us, then take note of everything that effects soldiers and what can and should be done to get them out of harms way, provide medical care for them, and and how to end the near complete destruction of humanity that they have to deal with during war. You want to honor people like me? Take away the need for people like me.
