This is absolutely inspiring.
Let the dogs bark with their awful comments... you keep shining and making music in the world... we need more Bachs and much less dogs barking.
Greetings from South America.

@MissDeniseHewitt Well, he's is right, it is pretty bad. But, if you love Bach, as I sense you do, I suggest you start by analyzing, and playing each voice, separately. Bach's voicng is always clear, and never muddy. The rhythm of this piece is also very iambic, punctuated, and majestic. Think of what a wonderful wedding march it would make. Imagine the strong beat on each step forward. I think E Power Biggs captured it well. Good fortune!

Stunning!!!!

On the other hand, you deserve credit for loving Bach as much as you do. I go to a school containing one of the best music schools in the world, and you'd be amazed at how many music students detest Bach, and how many more interpret him with no emotion whatsoever. Your effort deserves more credit than their results.

To be fair, the reason it sounds bad isn't really your fault - you're playing this on an electric piano without organ pedals, and you're using the sustain pedal to make up for it.
As such, I'd recommend you look up the Busoni transcription of this for solo piano. It's not the same as a real church organ, but as far as what you can do on a regular piano, it's probably the best alternative.
It is, however, a hell of a workout. Busoni isn't very sympathetic.

Hey that's good talent. Just needs more crispness and more aggression and then you're there. I wish I had half your ability. Cheers, Alistair G.

Don't be dick, dude. If you truly loved and cared about music you'd be encouraging people to go out there and at least TRY to play Bach. She doesn't claim to be a professional, and you've got nothing better to offer, so don't be so unnessicarily negative.

Good Denise - you're almost there! This is such a wonderful piece. I learned the St. Anne fugue when I was studying organ in college but never got around to learning the prelude.
Now, if only you had an organ at home so you could work in the pedal parts!

Thanks so much for your kind words! And of course life would be so much easier with a full pedal keyboard since at the moment I have to improvise and integrate the 3 manuals to the 2 on my keyboard - in "real-time":) Warm Wishes - Denise
