One of the most elaborate and glorious rescues to have never been told in World War 2 was called for. But the Americans cannot do it alone. They called for Filipinos Guerillas Soldiers for the United States Army Forces of the Far East. The raid on Cabanatuan remains the most successful rescue mission in U.S. military history. It was a tremendous success that help push forward in the independence of the Philippines.

@pcekeep we weren't too dependent then. Contrast to the rest of our southeast asian nations, we fought hard against the Japs. Actually, the fact that we fought them is enough to separate us from our neighbors who either allowed the Brits to do all the fighting or welcomed them with open arms

I like this documentary. Very well balanced. It gave credit to both Filipinos and Americans.

if the united states are well prepared for this war, they could reach of to 400.000 men but the lack of weaponry made it only to 90.000 troops some were sent home because of that.

this is a very good documentary.. not onesided... in other history channels documentary(The Lost Evidence) they didnt give credit to the Filipinos.. But here they give credit, Respect...
