Oh, I'm just realizing this child abuse storyline is taken from the Joel Steinberg/Hedda Nussbaum story from nyc. Wealthy guy and wife adopt a little girl and, for years, the husband beats and abuses both wife and daughter, eventually killing the daughter w/a blow to her head. Nussbaum was found to be beaten and turned on him in court. Totally disgusting all around.

i think she wanted the women to think she wasnt emotional in regards to the children or get other info out of her. Maybe so that she would think faith is on her side and not the little girls.
