  • Why are so many of these films rated PG ? I know they are nothing compared to the gore/blood violence of today's R rated horror films but for their time in the 70's, with audiences who had in previous decades not seen anything like them why werent they all rated R ???

  • While there were R rated horror films at the time producers were more keen for the PG because it usually meant an opportunity for greater box office returns. The ratings systems was also quite different than what it is now, and you could get away with so much more as a PG (or GP, or the short-lived M rating at the end of the 1960s). Film makers could still make scary movies with blood & violence but also more imagination in how they used it, rather than just splash buckets of gore around.

  • Was that Leonard Nemoy in Twins of Evil?

  • No, the male actors starring in the film are Peter Cushing, David Warbeck and Damien Thomas. Not a Spock among them.

  • Wow! Somehow 'Baron Blood' has been completely off my radar... despite my love for Bava and lust for Elke Sommer.

The Phibes movies were soooo fun... to bad they never managed to get the third one off the ground.

  • I love Baron Blood. It might not be Bava´s best, but it´s great, stylish, Gothic fun

  • I saw Blacula recently, I liked it. It's worth watching.

  • Since Power rangers dvd are gone :-( You can buy some sci-fi classic tv and movies. But not smallville i do not like x-(

  • These look awesome for the most part. I am sure they are not as gory as today's movies, but it is fun to travel back in time and see movies from another generation.

  • Hi Heebee. Please send me a note on my Youtube mail. I'd love to know where I can buy/collect many B horror films from the 20th century like you 1930's to 1980's. I also love them..better than today's horror anyways :) Thanks

  • These are the movies I collect..I have around 2000 of these b/horror movies...30s -80s...best movies...
