45 pound plate hub lift

This is me lifting a 45 lb. plate by the hub.

The York Barbell Company used to make a plate with a prominent hub, and strong men sometimes lifted these plates by the center hub. York changed the design of its weight plates long ago, and York 45 lb. plates with the hub are expensive and hard to find. I was very happy to find a plate with a hub at Dick's Sporting Goods for a reasonable price. The maker of the plate is "Fitness Gear."
