The New Zealand Herald produced a supplement for the opening of AIA on Wednesday, January 26th 1966. It features a wide variety of aircraft that were used back in that time including, Qantas and Pan Ams 707's, TEAL's ( Air New Zealands) DC-8's and 737-200s, RAF's Comet 4C and KC135's, Ansett Australias 727's.   • Very interesting........  Shame there is very little video avaiavle re AKLs early days. Would also love to see some stills of Air NZs DC8 crash at AKL airport
