The New Zealand Herald produced a supplement for the opening of AIA on Wednesday, January 26th 1966. It features a wide variety of aircraft that were used back in that time including, Qantas and Pan Ams 707's, TEAL's ( Air New Zealands) DC-8's and 737-200s, RAF's Comet 4C and KC135's, Ansett Australias 727's. Very interesting........ Shame there is very little video avaiavle re AKLs early days. Would also love to see some stills of Air NZs DC8 crash at AKL airport
