An informal short video of positioning the kiss equestrian Mshai treeless saddle on Zeb.
The saddle should be at least 2 fingers behind the scapula and the girth should sit at least a hands width behind the elbow.
If the back of the saddle is lower than the front, the saddle will need to be further back, These are not hard and fast rules but, rather a guidline for you to position your saddle on your horse in a way which suits it best. For maximum comfort for both horse and rider. There are other treeless saddle pads on the market with harder inserts for those who prefer a more rigid saddle and may suit horses with high withers and/or muscle atrophy, plus padding. I hope this is helpful to you and thanks for watching.
As a rule you shouldn't mount from the floor if you can possibly help it on a treeless saddle or a treed saddle, you should always try to find something to stand on, I use anything thats around, gate, wall, bank or rocky outcrop........luckily Zeb will stand still for me to get on, makes a change from the hopping mount that I had with my cob, she didn't change in the 9 years that I had her before she was put to sleep, bless her!
