Michiel van Lookeren Campagne, president of Syngenta Biotechnology, speaks and moderates at the company's official groundbreaking ceremony for its brand new $70 million RTP greenhouse expansions. Remarks made by U.S. House Representative David Price (D-NC-District 4), Durham County Board of Commissioners Chairman Michael Page, and Syngenta U.S. Commercial Operations Head Corey Huck. Syngenta's Katie Seguin also announces the kickoff of the company's 2011 United Way campaign, with a $30,000 check to Craig Chancellor, president and CEO of the Greater Triangle United Way. Finally, Syngenta's greenhouse project manager Dawn McNamara has a grand ole time breaking the dirt in the CAT excavator for the official first scoop into the project. Syngenta's new greenhouses are slated for opening next year, said Campagne.
