Profanum is a symphonic black metal band from Poland. The Black Metal influence was reduced and the band decided not to use guitars, bass or any 'typical' Metal sound, replacing it with symphonic orchestra instruments like piano and violins.
Profanum has released 3 albums, Flowers of our Black Misanthropy in 1996, Eminence of Satanic Imperial Art in 1997 and Musaeum Esothericum in 2002.
