An Eclipse 500 performs an engine start, taxi and departure from Livermore, CA. This aircraft is in the new Very Light Jet catagory -- a jet approved for single-pilot operation having four to eight seats, and a maximum take-off weight under 10,000 pounds.

A second Eclipse performed a demonstation flight including high-speed flight, tight turning radius, and dirty flight at the 2006 Reno Air Races.

Ok..., adding in the Gulfstream was really just for fun! You could also compare the sound of the Gulfstream near idle to the Eclipse at full power.

  • @m88123ify I believe that is the starter and you're seeing a fan spinning that cools the electric motor.
