I went shroom picking for the first time a couple days before new years.
The size was about double of this one you have now of the biggest we had picked ...i ate that one...was FUCKED.

@adutton428 where would you go to look up such a thing? It seems to me that it would be more than well enough protected by growing massive groups of mushrooms that all produce millions of spores. It's hallucinogenic properties don't seem to deter cows from eating them.Maybe it's because they have 4 stomaches but it seems as though they would be the most common predator of p. cubensis. Muscimol is more potent and actually toxic, yet reindeer in Russia absolutely love Amanita Muscarias.

@SpongyLikeALizard the magic mushrooms psychedelic effect is it's defense mechanism to ward off predators from eating it. It isn't a potent poison. It has no adverse effects on the human system at all other than the hallucinations. However imagine being an animal and tripping balls. It'd be scary as fuck. You wouldn't know the difference between reality or hallucinations. I've looked into this dude. lol don't get me started.
