To provide information on poverty conditions of women workers and plans for legal actions and protest. La Mujer Obrera this week applied for Governor's Enterprise Fund and was denied funding based on guidelines that discriminate. While La Mujer Obrera struggled to create alternatives for the displaced workers with the little economic support provided by government entities, the empowerment zone was spending funds destined to create these alternatives and projects that had nothing to do with economic development. Larger corporations have been the only ones to benefit from these funds.
Displaced workers, specifically women are being left out in the plans that are currently being developed and are now being discriminated against by state and federal government. La Mujer Obrera has a plan that will assist in the development of the women worker in order for them to become self sufficient and provide for their family.
Viva La Mujer Obrera...
Arriba las mujeres immigrantes...
Sigan Adelante... no dejen que la ciudad les arruine sus proyectos para el futuro!
