Playing a PAL PS3 game on a NTSC PS3 console. (The PS3 is region free).

Just to let you know you can import Japanese, American, European and/or Australasian PS3 games on any PS3s around the world.

US version of Record of Agarest of War Zero (0:45)
UK version of Dungeon Siege III (3:08)
UK version of International Cricket 2010 (4:35)

Just to let you know that all PS3s are region-free. However, you will require an HDTV with HD connections (Component or HDMI) to play a PAL game on an NTSC console or a NTSC game on a PAL console at 720p, 1080i or 1080p.

Does the PAL and NTSC standars doesn't matter when using an hdmi cable as the output of your console? does the HDTV needs specific requirements to run pal games on it? ( I have my console connected by an hdmi cable to a samsung hdtv) thanks! :) :D

Hello i need your help!, i just baught Tomb Raider Trilogy off ebay, and i didnt notice that it was pal, i live in canada and baught my ps3 in canada, so i guess the system is ntsc, would the game work?. please help..

Hi, I'm from Bosnia, Europe. My cousins will send me Battlefield 3 and PES 2012 from USA. Will I be able to play these games on my PAL PS3 ? I have a HD TV.

@blueprint678 dude you don't need HDTV or HD cables. It'll work with your current PS3 setup. i live in canada too, i mostly get cheap PAL games from zavvi.com

@sagi4427 i dont have a HD TV i dont think i have a 13" RCA its only a small tv, and it isnt flat screen., What is the difference in useing a normal tv for pal games and a HD tv?. besides the HD part, thanks:)
