This film urges more European countries to accept detainees held at the US detention centre at Guantánamo, who cannot be returned to their countries of origin for fear of torture or other human rights violations.

Countries like Germany, Finland, Sweden and Luxembourg are being asked to do more to aid the transfer of roughly 50 such men who remain trapped after years of unlawful detention.

The film features Lakhdar Boumediene, an ex-Guantanamo detainee given protection in France.

  • We should all help these people to return to a normal and safe life. So many of them have done nothing wrong and have been held when they should not have been. My heart goes out to them and their families.

  • @beltanebabe55 you are absolutely correct.

  • amnesty international supports islamic

    terrorists ...

  • sharkfin2009, mine also but let's not forget that terrorists come in all shapes, sizes colours and Religions and are by no means just Muslim.

  • Exactly but many have been detained so long. I believe that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and co. should take responsibility.

  • With this attitude democracy cannot work.

  • There are also terrorists there....lest we forget

  • U.S. created this situation, so U.S. should take them in. Of course, all should be investigated & given fair trials, & any found to be dangerous to U.S. society, should be kept incarcerated, in a U.S. jail.

  • Obama must keep to his word and either release or charge (With a fair trial) these prisoners. Keep the pressure going Amnesty.
