i wouldn't put a super charger kit in mine if something goes wrong with the super charger you're talking a lot of money in repairs.

@RIPPMODS that's great and all but it still doesn't negate the fact that if something happends to your supercharger it can take out your entire engine in the process, which is a giant risk you are willing to take so instead of something costing you 5 grand you might end up spending another 5 grand for a new engine/ I have worked on super charger engines at my automotive shop and people that ask questions about putting one in i give them the honest facts about the risk you are taking.

@SteelCity1981 Your right, that's why we use a self contained centrifugal supercharger that is over sized. That way there is no cross contamination between the engine and superchargers gear case. Secondly we only spin the blower a total of 22000max impeller speed (out of 68000 max). We also use a air to air intercooler as a filter between. In this respect we act more like a light pressure turbo than a "balls out" supercharger kit. We respect your experience, but we take pride in our approach.

If I install one of these supercharger kits, is it easy to remove completely to pass California smog test every few years. if so, how long would it take? Thanks

@RIPPMODS and that's the problem within itself people that install them that aren't ase certified will put in super chargers that are oversized and wnat something that can give the the max push in their engine performance. I tell people when they ask if they should put a super charger in and i give them an honest answer that A) why do you need one and B) what kind of performance are you expecting to gain and C) that they know the risk invovled of puttign a super charger in.
