I've got plans for nearly the same thing.
Uses the Mach3 software used here too.

Can you make a video showing how to use mach3 bcuz I have no clue how to use it
-
Do you have a tutorial to set up. tech drawings, models?? or know where I could find some?

@bullseye911 i wouldve thought the router carriage would just have a maximum depth like 00.1mm from the table.
just spitballin

almost any stepper works!!!

Can anyone could tell what type of wod board is used in this video, Thanks

I'd love more info. My copy carver was one of two machines that were not nicked by burglars from my guitar shop, but this could make many parts and probably do archtops too. The biggest archtop I ever made was 19 x 25. That is huge by guitar standards. What was you cost? I work with steppers, gear motors, and other stuff and or have done so in the past as an industrial electrician, and millwright. Out here you do a lot of work other trades would normally do. The unions are very weak.

Can you tell me how do you secure the piece from moving? I see clamps on the side. Also, how do you keep from damaging the machine when cutting all the way through?

Fantastic Job, Thanks for the above information you have provided, May I know what type of Router are you using for cutting, I am planning and gathering information of making 8'X4'X6" XYZ axis CNC machine for my Wood working Factory, Can you please provide me some more datils, It wouldbe highly appreciated.
The router in the vid is a small Bosch, about 20 years old. I replaced that with a more powerful dewalt/Trend later. If you're thinking of doing this in a production environment, it's worth considering a spindle..more powerful, more reliable and quieter.

can you tell me what steppers you used, and what driver???
sabladask 1 year ago
@sabladask
The steppers are 425 oz/in from motion control products in the UK, the drivers are "msd 542" from the same people. I've since built a MechMate 8' x 4' using the same drivers, no problems with any of them, yet!

very cool---could it carve boat paddles or gun stocks?
micmoable 1 year ago
@micmoable
With the right software, it could. overall size may be too small for a paddle in one go, but it would do the blade and handle in two hits. If you built one for these tasks specifically you would obviously just size it to suit.
Hope this helps.

@mphel sounds neat but I have no electronics or engineering training---and I'm sure both would be needed to build such machines

@micmoable
I thought the same, but once you get into it, with all the info on the net, it becomes much simpler than it first appeared.
I'm a simple joiner, so if I can build one I'm sure you could.
