During the 1986 Winston Western 500 we take a quick look at the lap that gave Tim Richmond the pole for the race and the track record for the time.

A great look at Richmond's slashing style of driving.

  • the best pure talent ever no question! made racing so much fun to watch! just an awesome talent! if he had lived his and earnhardt battles would have been for nascar what magic and bird were for the nba! the way nascar treated him ranks at the top of the worst decisions along with the car of tommorrow! the inspiration for days of thunder. we missed out on alot of highlight clips for the next 10 to 12 years!

  • Absolutely singular talent. Tim was magic in a race car!

  • @AutoRockinRacing94 I watched it when it came on, very, very good. and touching.

    R.I.P. Tim.

  • They will make a 30 for 30 special about him, which is the only one out of racing in general, I hope the last one is about the IndyCar split.

  • What a wild looking track compared to today's standards... and man Tim could wheel couldn't he?

  • absolutely incredible

  • It does stink in here because Tim Richmond is the shit!!!
