This is just one of many ways to make an inexpensive vocal booth. This technique is what I personally did/do...you don't HAVE to do it and you don't HAVE to like my technique. I am simply trying to help people if they don't have any idea how to make a vocal booth out of their closet...BY ALL MEANS, make your booth the way you feel comfortable and do whatever works best for YOU! REMEMBER: I'm just trying to help! :)

  • what microphone do you use?

  • @denverdanny

Behringer C-1...I'll probably start selling them soon...but definitely Audio Technica and Samson (Samson's C01 is basically the same thing).

Thanks for watching and keep me in mind for your future music instrument needs...my store should be fully operational soon!

  • great idea, now i just have 2 figure out way 2 build 1 with electrical outlets so I can plug in my speakers, computer, etc... so I can work in peace. the apartments above me & next 2 me drive me absolutely nuts, as I hear them walk, stomp, etc... but 4 this kind of cubicle, I guess m gona need 1 foot to 2 foot thick walls, door, & space for at least twice my body length, length and width.

rather than build with outlets, why not use a power strip and an extension cord? Might save some time and work! Not to mention money and potential shocks!

    Thanks for watching!

  • what about the roof?

  • @KiDDeSouza

Good question...for the best results, I would recommend doing the same treatments on the ceiling. I haven't gotten around to it, yet...but I plan on it. I saw a twin sized foam pad at Goodwill last time I was there, but I was sort on cash. Hopefully it's there in 2 days. If not, I still have several curtains left...

    Thanks for watching!

  • Another great way to get a dead sound if you don't have a closet or a room, is to set up a box around the mic – any old beer box will do. Line each side with the same kind of foam and place the mic within the box as far away from the opening as possible. Then you kind of sing into the box.

Looks very cheap, but sounds a lot better than in the room, great for amps too.

  • @CheapGearGuy alright cool man thanks alot i really appreaciate it ! great videos btw
