  • is that a 78 or 33?

  • @morbidangelofdeath1 78 RPM..33 spins MUCH slower then this :)

  • @debiani3866 i kinda thought so since one song took up the whole side. i still get confused sometimes cause visually they look like 33's,but now that i watched it again, yeah the arm was moving way faster across the record. are 78's more warp proof than 33's? i dread buying 33's as second hand stores cause just about all of them are warped somewhat. i bought a monkees record the other day and the arm rides up and down like a see-saw. it plays good, but im not to sure of the up and down motion lol

  • @morbidangelofdeath1 There were 33's back in the late 40's and early 50's that were the same diameter as a 78 rpm record (10 inches) and would have one track per side (I have 3 of these kinds of records). the best way to tell if a record is a 78 is 1) the weight (Most 78s are made either out of Shellac or Bakelite (the ones that are bakelite will say so -- like MercoPlastic or something of the like ) 2) if the 10 inch record does not say Long Playing anywhere on the label.

  • Also, 78's are less likely to warp (as bad) as what a vinyl record will due to the fact that those records are made with shellac and slate

  • I remember we had the very same record that you are playing. Just looking at it brings memories when I was a kid in Chicago. Like Bob Hope sings Thanks for the Memories

  • Thanks for sharing, I love this song.

  • I'm looking for a Drum'n'Bass version of this song, used by MSC cruises for an spot. Anyone knows where can I find this version?

  • as i recall it hat Baciami Piccina in parenthesis on the record label
