Cass's attempted interrogation of Stacey about her relationship with Derek is interrupted when Frankie arrives at the law office with the news that Lucas, who she is now working for, gave her the morning off, and that he asked Frankie to be his alibi for last night. If Iris called and asked where Lucas was last night, Frankie was to tell Iris that they were working late. Cass and Stacey are both encouraged by this, even though Frankie reminds them she doesn't have anything yet. Stacey tells Frankie she's doing a terrific job and to keep up the good work, then leaves for an appointment with Jamie. When Cass emphasizes that "we"--meaning him and Frankie--will step up the surveillance on Lucas, Frankie is glad to hear that. Cass notices Frankie has the look in her eye that always makes him nervous, but Frankie says she has a simple idea, very basic, and asks Cass if there's enough money in petty cash for a security deposit on an apartment for her. Cass asks Frankie if she's crazy. Frankie counters by asking Cass what he says to the idea.
