im 21 and i grew up listening to bands like xtc,squeeze, the clash and the english beat from my dads collection. its a shame that ACTUAL MUSIC has become lost in the world we live in today, with so called "artists" putting out songs with no actual instruments and computerized voices. then again there will never be another band like xtc. Hands down the most underrated band of the last 40 years.

I know, as a kid I heard Crash Test do this song when I was a kid and loved it.. I only just found out a couple days ago it was XTC.. Now I have a newly discovered band with an amazing hit for me lol, good start. I didn't listen to Crash Test for years, so im re-discovering them and discovering these guys... oh nostalgia and those golden years of music

XTC were the greatest band to come out of the late 70's New Wave movement in my opinion, followed by other great artists such as Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, Squeeze, and Joe Jackson. Nonsuch is a masterpiece, and I don't think Brian Wilson, Ray Davies, or Paul McCartney could have done better.

Good song. The video's comparison of JFK to Jesus makes me really queasy.

disappointed in the top comments there are not views on interpretations of true meaning of the actual song, does it mean to point out that people will pray endlessly for someone who almost certainly does not exist, yet will not pray or appreciate a human who lived and did great things ? this is my interpretation and im sure there are many more, a great piece of art does that, wonderful music and thought provoking analogies
