3-Cep powers, non-stop, through Furnace Sidings station on its inaugural run, 1811 Sunday 11 may 2008. This was the first time an EMU has operated in preservation - or otherwise - in Wales. It is also the first time 'through control' has been used in preservation in Wales. The propelling loco was 73128.

  • @gtaftw2 it was grubby due to having been at Dartmoor Railway and not being used due to ECT's policies and a long low loader ride... Oneof the first jobs the lads did on the unit was to get it into a temporary rail blue topcoat

  • @jamielw143 I never would've guessed that to be honest.

  • @Koozar No I'm not actually...

  • I agree with the blatantly inbred man's comment at the start of this video, it was all McKee's fault!

  • I bet you are one of the most riveting people on the planet...

  • thought they were supposed to be a four car unit. they ought to put in bluegrey livery

  • ah my fav slam door train the ceps

  • Blimey that CEP is looking a bit grubby. I can remember when this used to come through Gillingham just before it was withdrawn. Was always clean and still had the BR crest on the side. Not so good now

Good to see it wasn't scrapped though. The CEPs were definitely the best of the MK1 EMU stock

  • where did you get them?
