She seems well-meaning but I feel she is wrong-headed.

There are hate crimes against homosexuality in Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Hate crime laws provide structure and righteousness in Africa and Middle East.

    Great Video.

Listen to the slobs who call in, they don't deserve the liberty our constitution gives them...

The question Winnie needs to answer is since when did it become illegal to hate one or many people or groups of people? Bigotry is not a crime - or does she not understand that?

Winnie is out of central casting for Orwell films, right? I mean, do you hear her droning on like an automaton? And saying what a good thing it is to get the feds involved in what are normally state crimes. Remember folks, the feds don't get involved in murders and other very serious crimes. She keeps mentioning this as though it's a great thing. Terrifying, absolutely terrifying.

Why didn't she answer about the GIANTS fan "hate-crime"?

How is it moral for the government to give EXTRA punishment for a crime because of what you believe or might have believed in the past?

There is no freedom more sacred than freedom of thought. You do not have freedom of thought if there are separate penalties for thought when being charged with a crime.

The U.S already doles out some of the harshest punishments in the industrialized world. Look at our prison population! We need harsher penalties for certain crimes?
