This is 'April Song' with the Gymnastic Olympic Medalist, Nadia Comaneci, from John's first live performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in 1995. It was broadcast on TV as a PBS television special.

  • Wow. That was really amazing. I'd love to know more about the event.

  • I never did care for John Tesh's style of commentary, but this song is so beautiful! And what a lovely performance from Nadia!

  • Beautiful song and with the dancing absolutely superb. Red rocks magic.

  • Live at red rocks is always spectacular. John Tesh is great! I have never listened to a lot of his stuff, but he is very talented.

  • Great Nadia!

  • @rnjen2b1 ditto. gives you a lump in your throat when you hear this music and think of what could've been for kim zmeskal.

  • nice congratulations

  • I love this music!!! I especially love the contemplative pieces he does like this one.

I am a struggling composer of this same genre and I would love to get some feedback. If anyone is interested just type crazykeyman in the search and 3 of my compositions will come up. "the Neverending Way Home" "Rainy Day" and "Room For Two"

    Thank you

  • John is iffy but acceptable as a gymnastics commentator (having aggressive Tim and Elfie with him couldn't have helped his cause), but he's a DAMN talented musician and songwriter. And of course Nadia is Nadia. The most angelic gymnast of them all, regardless of her age.

  • I've always loved this song! John did the commentating for NBC and the Olympics in 1992. This song was used during "fluffs" featuring Kim Zmeskal. It always reminds me of her.
