@MrPlayBeyond, I think the fact that the vocals are "drowned out" as you call them or perhaps blacked out as the title calls it (not sure if that was shug's label intention) is what makes this remix so good and different. I love the dominant instrumental overlay which gives the song an extra jolt of caffeine and completely different flavor. Nothing beats the original but this is currently my favorite remix of T :)
