Leuk dit te horen..... oud ex Amutronics Muiden employee... mijn eerste job, maar alleen een paar maanden... en nu ten thousand miles from home indeed...
wow. this a song from my childhood in the early 60s, my parents had lots of records, i spun them all. Dinah Shore became a favorite. thanks for uploading this!
Some years ago I gave away my whole collection of records. But I could not find it in my heart to take leave of this record with Dinah Shore singing "Ten Thousand Miles" together with "The Blues in Advance" on the other side. It would surely have broken my heart as well as my wife's if I did so.
So this record is the only one I possess.
I still wonder why this beautiful song has disappeared from the stage.
Thank you so much for posting this favourite song of mine & sung by one of my favourite singers; I also like her sleepy lagoon song, recorded maybe in the 40's.
I'm currently looking into I.S.Song Hits and coming across this song. Then I'm surfing YouTube to watch it. Thanks for uploading.

I remember this song from the very early 50's, during the Korean war..
I was 10 y.o, and the radio kept
broadcsting it
for some reason this song had "disappeared"
and could not be foundwith any search engine , untill recently.

This song was originally sung by Spade Cooley, in a sad mood.
