Greenpeace boats penetrate G8 security
HEILIGENDAMM, Germany, June 7 (UPI) -- Greenpeace, using rubber boats, broke into a security zone in front of a German beach resort where Group of Eight world leaders are meeting.
German naval vessels were able to stop the Greenpeace boats before they reached the beach at the Heilegendamm resort, Der Spiegel reported. But Thursday's incident was still an embarrassment for German officials in charge of security for the G8 summit.

On Wednesday, hundreds of demonstrators held a rally in a no-protest zone, with some getting up to the 7-mile inner security fence around the resort.

A spokeswoman for Greenpeace said that the aim of Thursday's water-borne demonstration was to hand G8 leaders a petition demanding immediate action on global warming. One of the rubber boats carried a sign that said "G8 Act Now."

Those greenpeace guys usually go too far. If they don't obey police orders they should be shot on site.

A slovenian citizen was shot in italy by "carabinieri", the italian elite police, because he was suspected of drug smuggling a didn't want to give up the chase. Instead of endlessly chasing him, he got shot by a police sniper.
