Do you know where the flowers you buy actually come from?

This animated campaigns film takes a look at where our flowers come from, how they are grown, and the effects that this industry is having on workers and the environment.

Written and Directed by Paul Heard and Rebecca Swain, Animated by Paul Heard.

Funded by The Big Boost.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I animated this by painting each element of the scenes in acrylic on canvas. I then scanned each canvas in sections and used photoshop to cut each element out onto seperate layers. I then animated the film using adobe after effects.
    I really think this is outstanding.
    The way that it is illustrated makes the problem stand out. I also think it is made interesting to watch, which would keep adults focussed on the message and children would understand because it is made so clear.
    I really had never thought about this before, i definately will now. Well done x
    Thank you so much for doing this.
    There is still so much (backward) status to flowers in winter. They should have warning labels like tobacco packets, only more honest.
    The irony of honouring a woman or women with long stemmed red roses from such a terrible business must be savoured and acted upon.
