@Snezhinka9 I totally agree, even though I'm used to playing bloody video games and reading about the history of wars, that cannibalism scene sent chills down my spine. To see what happens to certain people on the brink of desperation, I can't even imagine how Yuri felt.

@Snezhinka9 This was common after the Russian Revolution. Lenin promised the people bread, but he had none to give. It was always the people who paid dearly before, during, and after the Revolution. While those in power who were responsible were isolated from it. Neither the Tsar or Lenin starved. Some people couldn't bring themselves to eat human flesh so they ate grass and doorjams. They soon died. Of all the countries it was Russia who suffered the greatest lost of human life.

that part with the cannibal was terrifying! omg! too see a man completely stripped of humanness..that actor only appeared for a second or so, but he captured that look brilliantly...
-
I think this whole bathtub scene was supposed to be improvised by Keira Knightly.

love is stronger than marriage, flesh & blood, than everything.

I absolutely adore Lara and Yuri....their love is tragic, strong, true, impossible, wrong....they are meant for each other, but they are not supposed to be together.....

Wow, he doesn't even care about his own children; his own flesh and blood! What a fucker!
