How to Wear a Statement Lip

Need to make a statement? Makeup artist Amy Sue explains how to wear a bold lip without looking like a clown.

Tip 1: You'll want to balance your statement lip with a nude or neutral eye.
Tip 2: Want to add a metallic? Totally fine! A light gold or silver works well.
Tip 3: Do not load up on the eye shadow! Make sure you layer with similar light colors that highlight rather than hinder. Suggestions are light browns, oranges & other warm tones.
