  • Any plans for a compact (sub 2kw) system? - Dan

  • @Begbucks Thanks for your interest. We are working on small units. A 2k unit would be 2 to 3 feet in diameter depending on normal wave height. The problem is the EPA which requires permits for any ocean generator that connects or replaces power that would come from the grid. If you are in a location where the grid is not available you might get around this. Permits take 2 years. This has been out biggest problem.

  • @GEdwardCook Ahh the proverbial thorn in the side of progress... Naturally ;( But logistics aside I'd still welcome such a device.

  • @datzfast The alternator is a 10,000 watt PMA, not a 1,000 watt car alternator. The UBG will produce twice the power of a float or bobber because it generates power on the way up and down. A float device only generates on the way up. A 60hp, 45,000 watt generator would stall as there is only about 15,000 watts available with a unit or float this size in a 3 meter wave. the UBG converts about 70% of the power of the water it displaces. You should read and understand how it works.

  • @CoCoRu 62 horrible, a bobber on a chain drive would be 100 times more powerful. your turning a little car alterator when a bobber on a chain could turn a 60 hp generator.

  • Excellent video! I am impressed that a small company can be so forward leaning! - Lisa

  • Thanks for the Green Wave demonstration. I wish you great success on your endeavor - David
