libertarians are economically stupid series. it's about limiting the multinationals. most of us are against the TSA. does it make us safer??? good question, but I'd risk eliminating it. oil subsidies for big oil is the problem, along with not regulating the banks.

  • Global warming might be good beacause he will keep our planet warm.. We are in a period between iceages

  • @gohan40129 I'm not so sure that depleting our ozone layer is a good thing.

  • Does tax breaks to oil companies make oil cheaper or not for the final customer?

  • @gohan40129 not necessarily (oil prices also have a lot of speculation), but it does make an alternative energy harder to compete. the CEO's salaries of these oil companies have gone up exponentially over the past couple of decades, so the tax breaks are making the CEO's salaries go up..

  • I See You're Not wearing Your Obama T-Shirt...Do you still have that Obama Alter built in your closet?.......How do you like your Change?

  • It is ironic that you criticize Republicans for giving subsidies to oil companies and claim it is due to their being paid by the oil. It is as if you are suggesting Democrats never get paid for their positions? If that is not what you are suggesting, then why speak of Republicans and not politicians in General. Finally, you are quick to use the term "Paultards" and dismiss a relatively diverse group whose reasons for supporting him may be diametrically opposed. Is that intellectually honest?

  • @55ella2007k

    Vocabulary has words, not phrases.

Carbon is a natural substance, if you want less carbon plant tree's its that simple

Terraforming the Sahara desert into a farm valley is a good place to start.

  • Henry Charles Carey wrote a 500 pg. book, called the Harmony of Interest that debunked the Free Trade myth, and in his essays on political economy debunked all classical economist from Adam Smith to Thomas Malthus

  • The comments in this threat are disheartening. Even reasonable + rational people get into a huge fights (albeit only verbal), trying to defend their turf at all costs. How can ANY consensus ever be reached, if this is the case with reasonably informed people, let alone the vast majority of people, who know nothing but to try ensure their own survival? The phrases absolute freedom + absolute liberty should be stricken from our vocabulary. There is no such thing + there never will be.

  • TSA is total bs. Homeland Security is bs. It is a complete waste of tax money, not to mention infringing on civil liberties. Paul is right on that score. But eliminating the of Dept of Energy? the Dept of Education, the EPA, the FDA? All of these depts have flaws, but the flaws came about not just because of entrenched bureaucracy, but because of infiltration of BIG corporations into their regulatory functions. I'm done listening to speeches. This election is a joke, to put it mildly.
