Nice to see a younger person who can appreciate american muscle.. great car, good luck with the adventures of personalizing it.

any up dates??

Sheesh. These impala super sports also came as notchbacks and could have sleepy 307 and powerglide. I know, I had one back in 1975. It was slow, but had full gauges w/tach even and power windows, no a/c. Was a cool cruiser though.

@daydreamrecording um no it either came with the 327,396 or the 427 not the 454 the 454 didnt come out untill 1970 whatever one you saw was indeed a clone get your facts right ohh and they also commonly came with the m20 or m21 munchie four speed
-
@daydreamrecording I'm sorry but your wrong, the 454 wasn't even introduced in the impala until 1970. The 68 would have been an SS427 . .

Nice project car that you have here! It is so nice to see a younger person actually taking an interest in restoring a car like this. If you do it properly, I can only see this car going up in value to a collector.

the new ones suck, if u get a chance at les schwab or local tire place ask about em, they're one piece steel construction nowadays instead of mag centers
-
lol, keystone cragar centerlines, doesn't it suck how companies always get bought out? funny enough you gotta add another name cuz centerline got bought out quite recently, i recently bought those keystone's i mentioned and the guy i bought em from has had em 30 years new in the box cuz he bought them for his vet and they didn't fit his breaks, so these are the oldschool steel/mag ones, yours prolly are old too, so not centerline
383? what was it originally? and as for wheels on that yacht i think some 114 or 15" x 7 -2" offset cragars can't be beat, i just made a vid showin my sport coupe with cragar keystones in that configuration with 235x60x15's it barely rubs if the wheel is cranked over 100% and i'm sure u know that in this car you can't turn the wheel that far with any amount of speed anyway or it just washes out, whatever you do don't put big gay 20" rims on it

it was originally a 327 but the guy put a 383 in it. and i found a set of Keystone Crager centerlines in the trunk and i got those on the beast now.
