Concert at Amesbury Middle School in March 2003. Herb Pomeroy - Trumpet, Dick Johnson - Reeds, Ryan Parker - Piano, John Repucci - Bass, Les Harris Sr - Drums
Loved Herb. Wish I could have been in one of his classes back in '66. -My 1st Jazz Ensemble class was with John LaPorta, & my Trumpet Instructor was Ray Kotwika. Between the two of them is where I gained an Innate sense of Pitch & Time. One really can Learn 'perfect' Pitch.. & 'perfect Time' as well. That's why I posted couple of Other H.P. videos on my FB page that day. Anyhow- I didn't mean for my comment to sound critical.. I was just using the descriptive term 'Drag' passed on to me by JLP.
With all Due Respect- The tempo steadily Slowed Considerably on this... down at the end, by as much as Half the Starting Tempo! Master Musicians here.. Great Soloists -but what a Drag, man!

@bluesviews Yup, I hear it. Perhaps it was intentional...don't know.
