What video is this? I actually worked on his first film "laird" that featured the millennium wave.. I've been out of the loop for a while and this is like a remake.

I dont think you guys appreciate what this man did and how powerful this wave is. no it probably wasnt the biggest wave he's ever rode nor any other surfer has ever ridden, but the thing with the Teahupoo wave is how much water is in the wave its self. Like the movie said"It literally drains the reef". So to say things like that it was "cheap" for him to use a strap in board or it wasnt that great or a ride really shows how much you surf
