Final Reality is a multi-faceted benchmark for 3D accelerators from Remedy Entertainment and VNU. As shown at (http://www.gpu-tech.org/content.php/129-3D-Graphics-Benchmark-1997-style-Enter-Final-Reality-v1.1) it consists of a 2D and a 3D part each featuring multiple scenes highlighting different features of 1997 3D graphics. Modern cards are no longer optimized for 16 bit rendering and format and consequently won't run this benchmark the way it was meant to look like, also capturing is a little difficult because of the formats used causing errors in the video. I've captured the scenes both under Windows 7 and XP (on an HD 5870 for the 2D part and a Geforce 3 for the 3D part), putting them back together as faithfully as possible. Additionally, to give you a taste of 1997-style capabilities, I've left the original resolution of 640x480 pixels untouched but embedded in a 720p frame.
I hope you'll enjoy the retro graphics and not-so-hidden advertisements for Remedys 3D shooter Max Payne.
I remember running this with my AMD K6-II 350MHz + Riva TNT. Back then it sure was mind blowingly beautiful.

Nice video. This benchmark could be interesting to have for today mobile games (or for yesterday mobile games, because no shaders here).
