This all seems like it was FOREVER ago. I guess nowadays it kinda was.
You ever wonder what all those people who were so young in the video's look like now? I wonder how many of them would still put a bikini on today? I know we ALL change when we get older so I sure can't say anything :)
God, those were sure some good times back then, and everything seemed so much more simpler than today. Makes me sad thinking about how good most of us had it back then compared to today. I wish everyone well :)
I went there in 1984 during my vacation trip to Orlando. The Tiger was closed and the park was basically empty. I still have pictures from my visit. Brings back great memories. Greetings from Montréal, Québec.
My family and I did a Disney/Seaworld visit from NC in 1978 when I was 13. We threw in a visit to Circus World. Still have a picture of my brother with a little person clown. It seemed like a great park. Hate to see the oldies go by the wayside like that. The way the employees got shafted by that Monahan guy was really scummy!
I remember this place along with all it's changes including changes in ownership. And I would agree HBJ were just a bunch of crooks of the time who bought way more than they could ever handle. Thank God they're completely out of the game with any theme park ownership in the Kissimmee/Orlando area. They couldn't even run a simple Mystery Fun House if they owned one (which they never did - I'm just saying they'd screw that up too if they did).

Ironicly, the Barnum and Baily Show in LA moved in the day after his Funeral at Staples Center.
